Muscle Building Protein Shake Recipe

This recipe is a great protein shake for muscle gain. This recipe is one of my go-to shake recipes after a tough lift or strength day. This shake uses GNC Pro Performance® AMP Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 as its main protein. The AMP protein from GNC is great for building muscle due to the types of proteins in its formula. This recipe also has a little bit of flax seed oil. The flax seed oil has a ton of healthy fats in the form of Omega-3’s and Omega-6’s.


  • 3 Scoops GNC Pro Performance® AMP Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1-2 Cups of Water
  • 1 tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil
  • 3-5 Ice Cubes


As as the case with most protein shake recipes, the directions are quite simple. Just combine all of the ingredients into a blender and then blend until everything is blended and mixed well.

Recipe Calories

This recipe has a decent amount of calories. This recipe checks in at about 500 calories. Since this recipe has a solid amount of protein and healthy fats, I find that it keeps me quite full awhile. Depending on your strength goals, you may want to add or even subtract a scoop of protein. I find that the 3 scoops is good for me personally. However, it is always good to find out what is best for you.
