There are many reasons why you may want to make a protein shake for breakfast. If you are trying to lose weight, then drinking a shake for breakfast is a great way to regulate your calorie intake. With all the protein, a shake will also keep you full for a good amount of time as well. Below is a breakfast shake recipe that I have personally used. It uses EAS lean 15 protein powder. I like to use this protein since it also has a good bit of fiber which helps to keep you fuller even longer.
- 4 Scoops Eas Lean 15 Protein Powder(Vanilla or Chocolate)
- 1 Cup of Strawberries or Blueberries
- 1-2 Cups of Water
- 1 tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil (I find a scoop of peanut butter to be a good substitute here as well)
- 3-5 Ice Cubes
As as the case with most protein shake recipes, the directions are quite simple. Just combine all of the ingredients into a blender and then blend until everything is mixed well.
This recipe is a pretty low calorie recipe and makes for a great breakfast. It ends up being right around 350 calories. Even at 350 calories, I find this recipe to keep me full for quite a while. I think the fact that this protein shake is high in fiber and healthy fats are the main reason why it keeps me full longer.
I hope you enjoy this recipe and please feel free to let us know in the comments what you think!
